Gloria Boms, Au.D., has enjoyed the practice of audiology for over 30 years. The field of audiology has evolved by leaps and bounds since her early days as Supervising Pediatric Audiologist at Long Island College Hospital, and it is now more rewarding than ever to help people improve the quality of their lives through better hearing. Dr. Boms’ commitment to providing outstanding patient care motivated her to pursue her doctoral degree from Salus University in 2002, and following that she achieved the distinction of Academy Scholar by the American Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Boms is often invited to speak in the community on a variety of topics, including the diagnosis, treatment, and impact of hearing loss as well as the role of the brain in communication. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, a fellow of the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists, and a member of the American Auditory Society and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Dr. Boms is delighted every time she hears a patient say, “I love my hearing aids!”
